Flau'jae Johnson gives three-word verdict on Kim Mulkey, LSU landing four 5-star recruits for the Class of 2025, feat. Bella Hines
LSU star Flau'jae Johnson offered a simple yet enthusiastic statement, praising coach Kim Mulkey for acquiring four 5-star recruits for the 2025-26 women's college basketball season.
Mulkey and LSU secured the No. 1-ranked women's basketball recruiting class for the second time in three seasons, with top-tier recruits Divine Bourrage, Bella Hines, ZaKiyah Johnson and Grace Knox all committing to the Tigers.
Johnson, the 5-foot-10 guard who also pursues a career as a recording artist off the court, expressed excitement over the Tigers' recruitment success and posted:
"#1 recruiting class đŻ."
Bella Hines, Divine Bourrage, ZaKiyah Johnson and Grace Knox are great additions to LSU, coming just one year after the Tigers claimed their first national championship in 2023.
Hines has been New Mexico's Player of the Year for two seasons. The 5-10 combo guard surpassed 2,000 career points and averaged 32.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in her junior year at Eldorado High School.
Bourrage, a six-foot guard out of Davenport, Iowa, tallied 19.8 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 5.6 apg and 3.0 steals per game to become the Gatorade Player of the Year in Iowa last season.
ZaKiyah Johnson, who averaged 18.9 ppg and 7.2 rpg as a junior, has a well-decorated high school resume, winning three KHSAA state championships and three Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year awards.
She won a gold medal with the Team USA U18 FIBA Womenâs AmeriCup team.
Knox, a 6-3 forward out of Etiwanda High School in Los Angeles, is a versatile forward who averaged a double-double of 17.2 ppg and 11.9 rpg while leading her team to a national championship and the California Open Division So-Cal Region State Championship.
Flau'jae Johnson off to a great start for LSU in the 2024-25 season
Flau'jae Johnson is having a great start for No.7-ranked LSU this season, averaging 22.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
The third-year guard is shooting 58.7% from the field, including 41.7% from the 3-point line.
Johnson has formed an effective partnership with Mikaylah Williams and Aneesah Morrow, contributing to LSUâs dominant start with the Lady Tigers winning their first three games by an average margin of 61 points.
In her last game against Charleston Southern, Johnson tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes.
Flau'jae Johnson and LSU will aim for their fourth straight win against Murray State on Friday night.
