"Greatness runs through bro's veins": NBA champion Kevin Garnett shows confidence in Bronny James by encouraging teams to take a ‘chance on him'
NBA superstar LeBron James' son Bronny James, entered the 2024 NBA Draft Combine with high expectations. Bronny had an underwhelming first season at college, and despite being advised otherwise, he declared for the 2024 NBA Combine.
However, his performance in the Combine has changed the narrative for some who are willing to take a chance on him. One such comment came from NBA champion Kevin Garnett, who liked Bronny doing drills at the NBA Draft Combine.
"Up there, Bronny looks really good P. He looks really good. He looks poised. He looks like he wasn't rattled by everything that was going around. He looked like he was used to the moment. He had a good session where he shot the ball well," said Kevin Garnett.
He further praised the young talent, suggesting teams take a chance on him in the upcoming NBA Draft.
"And if I am a team, bro, I would actually take a chance on that because greatness runs through bro's veins, bro. And you gotta know at some point he's gonna have a little growth spurt and it's gonna click."
The basketball world had great expectations from Bronny when he entered college basketball because of his father's legendary career. However, Bronny had to miss a major part of his freshman year because of a cardiac arrest.
When he returned, he struggled throughout the rest of the season. As a result, he was called out for his bad performance and was undrafted at one point in ESPN's mock draft list. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the 2023-24 season.
Despite a bad season, Bronny has the chance to prove all the critics wrong in this Combine. He recorded fourth highest overall vertical 40.5" at the combine and also made 19 out of 25 three-point attempts. Moreover, he was able to secure 12 consecutive shots.
Additionally, with LeBron's contract expiring this season, the Lakers are expected to pick Bronny to lure LeBron to sign another contract with them.

LeBron James attends Draft Combine to support his son
LeBron James never misses any chance to support his son in his highs and lows. Whether it is the physical support, or it is about supporting Bronny online, he never backs away from it.
In the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, LeBron, along with his wife, was seen supporting his son on Wednesday in a black hoodie.
After a bad season and with a great performance in the NBA Combine, it is still too soon to say if the father-son will play together in the NBA next season. However, things will get clearer soon with the NBA Draft slated for the 26th of June.
