Fifth-year star Hailey Van Lith is off to a remarkable 6-0 start to her one-and-done TCU Horned Frogs tenure. On Sunday, she scored her most points of the 2024-2025 season en route Texas Christian's 40-point beatdown of the Idaho State Bengals.
Playing for 32 minutes, Van Lith dropped 27 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. She was efficient from the field, missing only 6-of-16 shot attempts while nailing all three of her tries from the charity stripe.
The spitfire guard opened her scoring with a couple of freebies and a 3-pointer from the left elbow at the 8:35 mark. After a couple of assists that led to a 3-point and 2-point field goal, Van Lith closed her first quarter with another 3-point basket midway through the period.
She then split the defense to pull up from midrange to open her second quarter scoring. At the 7:52 mark, Van Lith was assisted by Donovyn Hunter for a lay-in. With TCU up 38-26, she drove hard into the lane for an successful and-1 play to round out her highlights for the second.
In the second half, Hailey Van Lith was once again at the receivng end of Hunter's feed to convert on a layup in the 6:25 mark. The pair continued to add to Van Lith's own scoring total as her 3-pointer with less than three minutes left in the period was once again assisted by Hunter. As TCU further pulled away 57-34, Van Lith sinked in another 2-pointer to put the third quarter to a close.
For the final period, the standout transferee connected on another midrange jumper and drained her fourth triple of the fixture. Van Lith would pad her scoring total to 27 on 10-for-16 shots from the field.

Hailey Van Lith's top scoring outing was once again super-seeded by stalwart Sedona Prince and swingman Madison Conner. Prince put up another impressive showing with 19 points, seven boards and four assists, swatting two shots and stealing the ball once.
Conner, meanwhile, pitched in 17 markers with five 3-pointers — besting Van Lith's four total. She also had three caroms and four dishes for the game.
Now in the second seed of the Big 12 Conference, the TCU Horned Frogs (6-0) will go up against the mighty Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Friday aand the South Florida Bulls the next day for the Cayman Islands Classic.
