Kiyan Anthony gets USA Basketball junior minicamp invite
Kiyan Anthony is having a busy summer just before he comes back to his senior high school year. The Long Island Lutheran star was invited to take part in the USA Basketball training camp where played with the best players in the nation.
"So I feel like I'm doing a good job of that and I'm gonna just keep trying to, you know, improve and keep being in the gym and try to outwork everybody my senior season. So I feel like it's going good. I'm looking forward to my senior season," Kiyan Anthony told NBA draft analyst Krysten Peek (per Yahoo! Sports).
The four-star shooting guard, who is ranked 34th overall in the nation per 247 Sports rankings, took note of his physical improvements, saying that he has become stronger as time progresses.
Peek also asked Kiyan Anthony about his father, Syracuse legend and NBA star Carmelo Anthony, and his influence on him in the sport. The 6-foot-5 guard described him as someone who talks to him about the game and gives him the freedom to make in-game decisions that could benefit his team.
"He's really dedicated his life to just supporting me and coming to all of my trips, all of my stuff, he's still there. So I'm forever grateful for that. And then he just, he always keeps me in the gym," Kiyan Anthony said.
He also discussed his commitment decision and he's down to three choices - USC, Auburn and his father's alma mater Syracuse. Kiyan noted that it's getting close and he has the first two weeks of November to decide on which school should he pick for college.
