"I spent 9 months of my life throwing up every single day to have this child": When Lala Anthony couldn't stop raving about Kiyan's incredible talents

Kiyan Anthony's mother Lala Anthony is undoubtedly one of the most vocal and enthusiastic parents when it comes to her son's achievements. Despite parting ways with Kiyan's father Carmelo, La La continues to shower her boy with love and support.

In episode 7 of Overtime's "The Evolu7ion" released in September last year, Lala and Carmelo opened up about their co-parenting duties. Kiyan and Team Melo were in Manhattan, New York, ahead of their AAU matchup with Team Durant. During the preparation, Kiyan played 1v1s against Lala and Melo.

"My relationship is that I spent 9 months of my life throwing up every single day to have this child," Lala said about raising Kiyan. "My son is my best friend. He's my everything. Off the court, if you know me, he's a jokester.
"I think Kiyan handles the pressure well. He knows he's making his own way. He's not trying to be just like his daddy, has his own game. There's similarities, but there's also differences. Watching Melo's career to now with my son basketball has been my life for a very long time." [Time Stamp - 11:43]

Kiyan said that his mother also played basketball in high school and La La demands respect for her skills.

"I did play basketball and no one gives me respect," Lala Anthony added. "I was a guard. By the way he didn't learn everything from his dad."
