IN PHOTOS: Carmelo Anthony’s ex La La drops exciting “summer rewind” featuring son Kiyan Anthony
Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony had an exciting summer traveling around the world with her mom La La. The six-foot-five guard and his mother were spotted in destinations like Japan and Puerto Rico embracing their time together.
On Tuesday, the BMF star shared a series of pictures and videos from their travels on Instagram.
"Summer rewind ⏪," Lala captioned the post.
In the post, there's a picture of Anthony sitting in a chair in a studio setting facing the camera. The rest are solo photos of herself with a few including her dog. After participating in Nike's Peah Jam, Kiyan Anthony took an offseason break travelling to Japan with his mother in late July.
More recently, he was spotted enjoying a family vacation in Puerto Rico. La La shared a video from their trip where Kiyan along with a few others were swimming in the middle of the sea, enjoying the blue waters of the Caribbean Island.
Kiyan, the top high school hooper in New York, not only enjoyed his summer off the court but partook in several basketball camps and events to keep his game sharp for his final high school season.
The four star recruit played in the SLAM Summer Classic, Rod Wave Elite championship game and Bolden Mack Breed All-Star game last month.
La La Anthony shares how Kiyan carves his own basketball identity
Kiyan Anthony is one of the highly talked about high school hoopers at the moment. Being the son of an NBA icon, the pressure to live up to his father's legacy is undeniably high.
On Overtime's "Evolu7ion" released last fall, La La reflected on Kiyan's basketball journey.
"I think Kiyan handles the pressure well. He knows he's making his own way. He's not trying to be just like his daddy, has his own game, Lala said.
"There's similarities, but there's also differences. Watching Melo's career to now with my son basketball has been my life for a very long time." (Timestamp — 11:43)
Kiyan, who's entering his final year of high school at Long Island Lutheran, is now occupied with the recruitment process. He revealed his top six schools in June, including his father's alma mater Syracuse. He visited the campus in October last year.
This fall, the Denver, Colorado, native plans to visit the remaining college programs on his list, including USC. 247Sports reported on Tuesday that Kiyan's trip to Southern California is scheduled for October 4-6.
