Jaylen Brown College Stats: How did the Boston Celtics star perform at California?

Jaylen Brown has turned out to be a key player for the Celtics and averages 23.0 points per game for them. He has been switching between small guard and small forward for the team. Starting his NBA career in 2016, Brown still has a lot of potential to elevate his game in the next stage of his career.

Brown played for the California Golder Bears at the collegiate level. ESPN and Scout had him as a five-star recruit, while 247Sports had him as the No. 4 overall recruit in the class of 2015. However, he declared for the NBA Draft after a one-and-done season with them.

Under coach Cuonzo Martin, he averaged 14.6 points per game in the 2015-16 season. He also secured 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in college. From the field, he was impressive as he converted 43.1 percent of his attempts from there. From beyond the arc, he converted 29.4 percent and 65 percent from the foul line.

Brown was a regular for the Golden Bears as he started in all 34 games for them while averaging 27.6 minutes per game. As a result, he was named the Freshman of the Year in 2016. He had his season-high of 27 points which came against Utah and Richmond. He also made it to the first team All-Pac-12.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, he went to Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. He averaged 24.1 points per game as a junior. He led his team to the Georgia High School Association Class 6A State Championship victory in a very close match.

Wheelers were trailing by one point (57-58) in the final second of the game. Brown changed the scenario by taking two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining in the match, leading Wheelers to a 59-58 victory. He was honored with Gatorade Georgia Boys Player of the Year.

What happened between Jaylen Brown and Myles Turner?

Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers met in Game 4 this week in which Jaylen Brown led the Celtics to a victory with a scoreline of 105-102.

However, there was a heated exchange of words in the third quarter between Brown and Pacers' Myles Turner when Turner and Celtic's Derrick White clashed with each other and ended up on the floor.

"Watch that sh**," said Jayen Brown.
"Come her like a man," replied Myles Turner.

Jaylen Brown didn't just stop there. In the post-match interview, he had some verbal volleys to dish out:

"His girl was probably watching, so he had to do something."

Brown scored the match-highest 29 points in the game while recording 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
