Julian Reese stats tonight - How did Angel Reese's brother fare vs St. Francis (PA)? (Dec 17)

Julian Reese, younger brother of WNBA player Angel Reese, was efficient from the floor in Maryland's 111-57 beatdown of St. Francis (PA). His double-double aided the Terrapins to seal a 54-point victory and boost their season win total to nine.

Reese finished with 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in just 23 minutes of action. He also did not attempt a single 3-pointer throughout the fixture and was 50% on his free throw attempts.

The 6'9 forward started the game strong, grabbing an offensive rebound and making a layup within just three minutes of first half. Reese was then untouchable on defense, snagging rebound after rebound while altering shots at the rim. His lay-in at the 13:01 mark then placed Maryland within striking distance of an early Red Flash lead 13-12.

As the Terrapins continued to pad on their lead, Reese connected on his first jumper at the 8:02 mark. The 21-year-old was a man among boys on the glass throughout the period as he'd cap off his opening frame stats with another jumpshot. At this point, Maryland was able to pull away with a 26-point lead heading into the second half 55-29.

It wasn't a pretty start to the layover period for Reese, as he missed on a five-footer and turned the ball over consecutively. He was still a force on the defensive end, adding to his steals and rebounds totals.

A couple of freebies would be his only score in the half as Maryland's sizeable advantage was no longer in reach. After some more rebounds and even assists in his tallies, Reese eventually logged off for the lop-sided fixture. Ultimately, the Terrapins defeated the Red Flash 111-57 in a victory that saw their whole starting lineup score in double figures.

Julian Reese posts fourth double-double of the 2024-2025 season

Don't let the stats fool you, Reese could've had around six to seven double-doubles already this year as in certain games, he was either a point or a rebound shy of the feat. One thing that's for sure is that the swingman is a beast on the boards.

In his fourth season with Maryland, Reese is averaging 12.2 points, 8.2 boards and 1.1 swats per game as he and the rest of the Terrapins are poised for a deeper run this campaign in the Big Ten conference.

They now set their sights on the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, Dec. 21, in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.
