Kiyan Anthony offers: Top 3 teams for Carmelo Anthony's son after he narrows down his list to six

Kiyan Anthony, the son of future Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, is a promising young player for Long Island Lutheran High. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard will play his final year of high school basketball this coming season before heading to college.

The four-star prospect received 21 offers from college programs, which he narrowed down to his top six choices on July 25. They are Syracuse, Ohio State, Florida State, Auburn, Rutgers and USC.

"It's no pressure going there. I know wherever I go, I'm just gonna go there and play my game," Kiyan told On3 regarding his recruitment decision. "But my dad always tells me, 'Don't feel like you got to go to Syracuse because I went there. Really look into these colleges and choose where you want to go.'
"So, that's what I'm really looking forward to doing."

Kiyan Anthony was ranked as the top prospect in New York State by ESPN last week. He is also ranked 40th overall and the ninth-best player in his position.

Here are the top three teams that could land Kiyan among his chosen six.

3 teams leading race for Kiyan Anthony

#1 Syracuse Orange

The shooting guard is interested in Syracuse, where his father won an NCAA championship. The Orange, under the leadership of their second-year coach Adrian Autry, have shown interest in Anthony.

"I just like the atmosphere, you know, obviously my dad went there 20-something years ago," Kiyan told ZagsBlog. "The coaches, I feel like they're recruiting me for myself, and not just because of my father."

Kiyan visited the campus in October 2023 and posed with his dad Carmelo. They both wore Syracuse jerseys. He also met coach Autry.

According to On3's recruiting prediction, the Orange have an 89.4% chance of landing Kiyan.

#2 Florida State Seminoles

Florida State is the only school aside from Syracuse that Kiyan Anthony has made an official trip to. In fact, it was the first program he visited officially last fall.

Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton was among the coaches to attend Kiyan's final game of the second evaluation period in July. His father Carmelo is friends with coach Hamilton, so that gives the Seminoles a boost in their attempt to recruit the younger Anthony.

#3 Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State is another possible landing spot. He has yet to visit the university but is already familiar with coach Jake Diebler's game.

"I know it's a new building program with coach Diebler over there," Kiyan told On3. "They were the first coaches in the gym to come see me today so that shows that they're really interested in me. I really like that so they're high on my list."

Kiyan is expected to schedule a visit to Ohio State this fall.
