Meet US Olympians from Big 12 schools at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

More than 500 US Olympians are representing the nation in various sports in Paris. The Big 12 conference has a fair share of representatives with more than 100 athletes performing for nearly 30 nations as Arizona State, Texas Tech, BYU and TCU combine for more than 50 Olympians.

With that, let's have a look at the athletes stemming from the Big 12 conference repping the United States in Paris.

US Olympians from Big 12 schools at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

Iowa State - 1

Iowa State Cyclones ties come purely from basketball with Tyrese Haliburton as the sole US Olympian in Paris. Canada's Bridget Carleton and Melvin Ejim alongside Puerto Rico's George Conditt IV and Australia's Lauren Mansfield (3x3) will partake in the same sport.

Arizona State - 1

The Sun Devils have most Big 12 Olympic athletes stemming from the program. However, they remain in the bottom pool of this list with only one US Olympian, Desirae Krawczyk, in Tennis.

The remaining 21 athletes might be the most diverse on this list as they scatter through Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Canada, Jamaica, Nigeria, Spain, New Zealand, the Netherlands, France, Fiji and Chinese Taipei in Swimming, Golf, Basketball, Tennis, Track & Field, Water Polo and Football.

TCU - 1

Ten athletes with Horned Frogs ties are in the 2024 Olympics with only one US Olympian, Hailey Van Lith, who transferred to the school this summer from LSU. She could face Australia's Anneli Maley in 3x3 basketball while Amy Okonkwo and Tomi Taiwo will repp Nigeria in 5x5 basketball.

Other athletes from TCU roots include Antigua & Barbuda's Jadon Wuilliez and Bahamas' Rhaniska Gibbs (swimming), Great Britain's Cam Norrie in Tennis, Stephanie Grundsoee in shooting (Denmark) and Spain's beach volleyball duo Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno Matveeva.

Oklahoma State - 2

Oklahoma State's Wyndham Clark in Golf and Chase Jackson in Track & Field are repping the States in Paris. The school also sees two athletes each donning Sweden and Norway in golf alongside Lithuania's Gabija Galvydyte and Ieva Gumbs and Great Britain's Jacob Fincham-Dukes in Track & Field.

Cincinnati Bearcats - 2

Volleyball's Jordan Thompson and Track & Field's Anette Echikunwoke are the only US Olympians suiting up while ex-Bearcat Vanessa Gilles sides with Canada in Soccer.

Baylor Bears - 2

Bears see Avery Skinner (Volleyball) and WNBA's Brittney Griner in Paris while four other connections partake in Track & Field and Basketball for Nigeria, Jamaica and Australia.

Kansas Jayhawks - 2

Track & Field's Bryce Hoppel is the only US Olympian from Kansas alongside NBA's Joel Embiid in Paris.

UCF Knights - 2

Rugby's Malachi Esdale and Kristen Thomas stem from UCF alongside three other athletes repping different nations.

Arizona - 2

The Wildcats are represented by Delaney Schnell from Diving and Chase Budinger in Beach Volleyball in Paris. Philippines' Bianca Pagdanganan (golf) and Australia's Josh Green in Basketball are two other competing Wildcats.

West Virginia - 3

West Virginia Mountaineers' connection comes through players from the USA, Canada and Australia. US Olympians include Hunter Armstrong and Ivan Puskovitch in Swimming alongside Mary Tucker in Shooting.

Canada's Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawrence will partake in Soccer alongside Track & Field's Ceili McCabe while Amy Cashin is the only Australian associated with the program.

Colorado - 3

USA Basketball's late-invite Derrick White, Track & Field's Valerie Constien and Morgan Pearson competing in Triathlon are US Olympians with Colorado Buffaloes roots. Pascual Di Tella is the only foreign athlete who will compete for Argentina in Fencing.

Texas Tech - 3

Texas Tech Raiders see a trio of Track & Field athletes in Alysha Johnson, Courtney Lindsey and Monae Nichols representing the States. Temitope Adeshina, Ruth Usoro and Rosemary Chukwuma will perform for Nigeria in the same sport while five more athletes will be in Paris with Texas Tech roots.

BYU Cougars - 11

BYU has the most US Olympians from the Big 12 with Track and Field’s Conner Mantz, James Corrigan, Whittni Orton Morgan, Elle St. Pierre, Parker Valby, Kenneth Rooks, Courtney Wayment and Clayton Young. Jimmer Fredette and Allessandra Gurr will partake in 3×3 while Stephanie Rovetti is the lone Rugby athlete.

University of Utah and Houston - 0

Houston Cougars has no US Olympians in Paris but are represented through five athletes participating got Barbados, Great Britain, the Dominican Republic, South Africa and Mexico.
