On Nov. 8, college basketball insider Jeff Goodman revealed on X (formerly Twitter) the Auburn Tigers had to return home "due to horseplay" between their players that might have escalated into a fight.
Bruce Pearl's Auburn team tipped off their NCAA campaign with a bang as they earned an impressive 94-43 victory over the Vermont Catamounts this week. Following the win, the Tigers were set to travel to Houston for their upcoming game against the Houston Cougars at the Toyota Center.
Goodman offered an update on Auburn after their players returned home following a potential mid-flight fight
Goodman reported Auburn players were 45 minutes en route to their destination but had to return home. They are now expected to board another plane to Houston.

Auburn cannot afford to let this incident derail its campaign after a dominant win over Vermont in the season opener earlier this month.
Despite a promising start to this NCAA season, it seems the Tigers have gotten themselves into a lot of drama ahead of their game against Houston. Only time will tell whether Pearl can get his players to regroup and focus on basketball.
