3 college basketball teams that can target Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan for class of 2025

Carmelo Anthony is widely considered among the greatest scorers to ever step foot on a basketball court. The future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer ranks tenth on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

While he failed to win an NBA championship, he was able to win three Olympic gold medals as well as a national title in his lone season of college basketball with the Syracuse Orange.

His son, Kiyan Anthony, is closing in on his decision on where he will play college basketball. The four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class announced the final six teams—the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orange and USC Trojans—that he is considering on Thursday, tweeting:

Anthony, who has continued to rise in the recruiting rankings, has not shared a timeline for his official announcement. He has, however, scheduled official visits with two of the programs. Take a look at three teams that should be interested in the son of the 10-time NBA All-Star.

3 college basketball teams that can target Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan

#1: Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange are the obvious choice for Kiyan Anthony, as his father, Carmelo Anthony, led the program to their only NCAA Tournament championship in program history.

The younger Anthony would have an opportunity to follow in his father's footsteps in creating a legacy with the program. He is set to take an official visit to Syracuse on October 19.

#2: Florida State Seminoles

The Florida State Seminoles are the only other program that has an official visit with Kiyan Anthony scheduled, as he is set for an October 13 visit. They have reportedly been involved in his recruitment since the early stages and are likely the biggest threat to the Orange's hopes of landing him.

#3: USC Trojans

Kiyan Anthony could opt to follow in the footsteps of Bronny James, the son of future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer LeBron James, by joining the USC Trojans.

After hiring Eric Musselman, the program is expected to take a step forward over the next few seasons. The addition of Carmelo Anthony's son would help get that turnaround started.
