Aneesah Morrow Stats Tonight: How did the LSU star fare vs UIC (Dec. 19) 

Aneesah Morrow delivered impressive numbers for LSU despite a bad start, leading the Lady Tigers to a 91-73 victory over the UIC Flames on Thursday night at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Morrow, the nation's top rebounder, produced 19 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks in 38 minutes for LSU, who remained unbeaten in 14 games.

The 6-foot-1 forward shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 2-of-3 from the 3-point line. She made 1-of-2 free throws to complete an all-around game for the Lady Tigers.

The DePaul transfer had a slow start missing six of her first seven attempts for two points. However, she worked on the rebounding block, grabbing five boards and recording a steal and a block for LSU, who built an 18-11 advantage.

Morrow picked up the slack in the second, scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting. The senior already had eight rebounds at the half, setting the pace for another impressive night off the boards.

She'd have her double-double by the third period after tallying seven points on 3-of-4 makes. The forward also picked up three rebounds, one steal and one block in the quarter, as LSU piled up 27 points and limited their opponents to just 15 en route to a 67-46 spread.

The senior would record three points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in the fourth period, as LSU coasted along with another impressive win this season.

Aneesah Morrow builds up her WNBA draft stock with 12th double-double of the season

LSU forward Aneesah Morrow has been one of the key reasons for the Lady Tigers' 14-0 start in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season. The 19-point, 13-rebound performance was the 6-foot-1 player's 12th double-double of the season and 11th in 12 games.

The DePaul transfer is also building her stock in the 2025 WNBA draft, averaging 18.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.8 steals per game. Her impressive numbers this season place her in contention for postseason awards in the SEC and the national scene.

LSU will have a long Christmas break and see action again on Dec. 29 against Albany at Pete Maravich Assembly Hall in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It begins its SEC regular season campaign against Arkansas on Jan. 2, 2025.
