Arkansas HC John Calipari shares thrilling news about the Razorbacks’ upcoming charity

Arkansas Razorbacks coach John Calipari revealed that the upcoming charity exhibition game against the Kansas Jayhawks was sold out. The tickets were sold out within 24 hours and Calipari thanked the fans for contributing to the noble cause.

Calipari announced on Wednesday on X that the Razorbacks will host the Jayhawks on October 25. A day later, the Razorbacks' coach gave a glimpse of the excitement of the fans about the game:

"Just got word that our charity exhibition game against Kansas is SOLD OUT! Tickets went on sale to the public on Wednesday and the remaining tickets were gone within 24 hours! Excited for our players and the environment they will get to play in!" he wrote on X.
"Let me thank all the fans who are excited about this team and who helped contribute to a great cause!"

The Jayhawks, led by Bill Self, are the top-ranked team for the coming season as per ESPN's Way Too Early Top-25. Arkansas is scheduled to play a second exhibition charity match against TCU on November 1.

John Calipari replaced Eric Musselman after a 15-year tenure at Kentucky. He reportedly signed a five-year contract with Arkansas worth $7 million per season.

Calipari led Kentucky to a national championship victory in 2012 and four Final Four appearances. He was asked by Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports how people at Kentucky were responding to his departure.

"I think some people were happy," Calipari said. "Some were saying, 'We've had this guy 15 years and we've only won 500 games.' [Actually 410] We only won one national title and four Final Fours and eight Elite Eights? What the hell is going on here?'"
