Caitlin Clark shuts down talks about her partnership with 3x3 Unrivaled league
Caitlin Clark continues to garner massive eyeballs for her games. A signifying factor has been Clark’s status for the inaugural basketball tournament next year. It is one of a kind 3x3 league founded by gold-medalists Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
Alongside the co-founders, WNBA names like Chelsea Gray, Arike Ogunbowale, Kelsey Plum, Rhyne Howard and others will partake in the offseason tournament. Moreover, Collier hinted that a total of four rookies are slated to appear as well.
However, despite her Rookie of the Year award rival Angel Reese being solidified as a competitor for the fresh league, Caitlin Clark wants to focus solely on the WNBA.
"You know, honestly, I'm just focused on this right now [WNBA], one thing at a time, cannot always be moving on to the next. My focus is right here," Clark said in a recent interview.
Clark is currently averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game on a shooting touch of 40.5% from the field and 32.7% from the three-point line.
The rookie is yet to find her comfort zone on the big league court and is under pressure to mount Indiana Fever's first-ever post-season appearance since 2016.
