"Came out a beast": LSU star Flau'jae Johnson reacts to Browns CB Denzel Ward's hype video
LSU Tigers basketball star Flau'jae Johnson is enjoying the best offseason, celebrating the release of her debut EP, "Best of Both Worlds." The album includes her previous feature with NLA Choppa and a new collaboration song with Lil Wayne, "Came Out a Beast."
The song is quickly becoming a favorite for many and even surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify. Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward used the track as the background music for a highlights reel from the previous season. Ward, an Ohio State standout, posted the video on his Instagram account, and Johnson reposted it to her story and wrote:
"CAME OUT A BEAST."
Johnson also commented on the three-time Pro Bowler's video and wrote:
"YOU HIM."
While she is enjoying the success of her hard work, Johnson is also preparing for the upcoming season with the LSU Tigers.
After failing to defend their 2023 national championship, Flau'jae Johnson and the Tigers will be hoping to reverse their fortunes. However, the road is not going to be easy as the USC Trojans, South Carolina Gamecocks and UConn Huskies pose a huge competition.
Flau'jae Johnson shares an emotional moment with a young fan
With the rise in attention to women's sports, college athletes have been enjoying heightened fame, especially among young fans. From Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese to Flau'jae Johnson, fanfare has been high.
In April, the LSU guard shared a warm moment with a fan during the opening of the lifestyle brand, The Athlete's Foot, in Baton Rouge. Similarly, but in a slightly more emotional way, a young fan got the opportunity to meet Johnson during the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday.
The sobbing girl was seen hugging the guard while Johnson tried to comfort her. Later, she recounted the incident on her Instagram and wrote:
"IM TRYING TO LEAVE IT BETTER THAN I FOUND IT ! This what it is about I, not about the money, fame, or the materialistic things, it’s about INSPIRING the youth !! Being someone that they can be motivated by, all it takes is a little belief. These moments are priceless to me and this young lady has touched me more than she could ever know.
"I never thought I would be a role model to so many young girls and boys but I take on that responsibility with honor and pride, because I remember when I was their age all I needed was a little hope."
Apart from conquering more heights in college basketball, Johnson is also breaking the glass ceiling with her music career. It is possible that her already large fanbase will continue to get bigger.
