“Can’t believe this my life”: Bryce James recreates father LeBron James’ iconic meme in recent IG story

As Bronny James steps into LeBron James' footsteps with the Los Angeles Lakers, his younger brother Bryce James is following their father's off-court pursuits. In a recent Instagram story posted by the 17-year-old, James' youngest son recreated a nostalgic photo from his past which quickly became a part of the global hoops culture.

"Smiling through it all! Can't believe this my life," Bryce James captioned the photo.

Bryce James mimicked LeBron James' meme-worthy snippet with a broad smile, one arm on his forehead, and standing in the middle of a swimming pool. He also used the same words that his father used in his story in 2018.

Over the years, LeBron James has been the face of several iconic memes. Be it the Jordan-esque crying photo from his early Cleveland Cavaliers days, his stare at the Boston Celtics in the 2012 Eastern Conference finals (on the road to his first championship), the reaction to JR Smith's blunder in the last seconds of the Game 1 of the 2018 finals, and many more.

While James' "Can't believe this is my life image" image was believed to be a response to Laura Ingraham, a Fox News anchor, fans quickly turned it into a viral meme. The photo remains one of the most used templates in the basketball space as fans consistently use it to resonate all types of emotions and reactions.

What was the origin of LeBron James' "Can’t believe this my life" meme that Bronny James recreated?

LeBron James has always advocated for things the rest beyond the hardwood and the "Can’t believe this my life" meme sparks from one such venture. In early 2018, several celebrities and athletes were speaking out against then-US president Donald Trump's policies and the effect its administration has had on the people.

Moreover, James had earlier labeled Trump as a 'bum' after the White House withdrew the Golden State Warriors invitation after winning the 2017 championship.

While influential people are celebrated for spearheading a movement, James' comments sparked an outage in the media space, prompting Laura Ingraham from Fox News to question James' education and mock him as a basketball player.

"Keep the political commentary to yourself. Or, as someone once said, shut up and dribble," Ingraham said.

James' IG story came later on the same day as a possible response to the anchor's comments and questions about James' stature.
