"Can't let Bryce out play me": Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony was once fired up to play against LeBron James' sonĀ

One of the biggest summer stints in Kiyan Anthony's offseason was his EYBL PIT tourney. The 17-year-old has been one of the best scorers in the entire circuit, and plenty of college coaches and recruiting names attended his games. One of the battles in his journey came against LeBron James' youngest son Bryce James.

Being the son of a renowned NBA name, Anthony knew the stakes of the matchup. He resonated the same on Overtime's Evolution 2.0, a series that captures his on and off-court stints throughout the last few months.

"Day two at Indie," Anthony said. "Today I'm getting a new tattoo, my clothing brand is having a pop-up shop, we gotta play against Bryce, Bron in there, my pops is there, I cant let Bryce outplay me," he added. (0:10)

Anthony set the tone early against Strive For Greatness during the May 19 game at Pacers Athletic Center, Indiana.

However, as Team Melo began the second quarter with a lead, Brayden Burries and James mounted a comeback. As a result, the entire crowd in the gym began rooting for SFG, adding more pressure on Team Melo.

As Tyler Jackson and Tyrell Bowles helped Kiyan Anthony in reclaiming the lead, the SFG roster also got some scouting and playbook assistance from LeBron James, diminishing Team Melo's momentum.

The Strive For Greatness eventually clinched a six-point win over Team Melo (71-65). Kiyan Anthony finished with 18 points, four assists and two rebounds on a low 31.6% shooting (6-19), while Bryce James posted eight points, two steals alongside a block and a rebound, making 3-8 shots (31.6%).
