"Can't trust everybody": Paige Bueckers pranks KK Arnold, making a promise to UConn fans

Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies are all ready for the 2024-25 season. After a Final Four exit last season, the guard will be looking to lead the team on a potential championship run.

On Monday, a Paige Bueckers fan account shared a TikTok video of Bueckers performing the "trust fall" trend. It involves a person falling back, hoping the other would catch, but instead getting a life lesson on not trusting everybody. Here, it was Huskies guard KK Arnold who "trusted" Bueckers to catch, but she didn't.

"Trust fall. Well, you can't trust everybody," she said. "But you can trust us to have a great season. Go Huskies! See you soon."

Paige Bueckers shares her plans for the new season with new additions

In the run to the Final Four last season, Paige Bueckers, with Nika Muhl and Aaliyah Edwards, created a core that pushed the Huskies despite losing many players to injuries. However, both Muhl and Edwards are now in the WNBA, and Bueckers is left to mostly take the responsibility all on herself.

During media availability on Friday, the guard spoke about the plans for the upcoming season and shared how the Huskies will make up for the loss of their core players.

“She (Sarah) knows how to play and coming in as a freshman I think that's a great thing to have," Bueckers said after UConn's first practice. "She's aggressive, she can pass, she can shoot, so she can score at all three levels; she even rebounds well.
"Jana, obviously missed her. She's just a big presence on defense that we didn't necessarily have last year. She brings us a great ton of energy that I think obviously losing Nika and Aaliyah, we were missing a bit of energy. So I think she'll bring that as well."

Along with Sarah Strong, Allie Ziebell and Margan Chelli have joined as the freshman players. They are all high-ranked recruits and are expected to contribute immediately.

At the same time, injured upperclassmen like Azzi Fudd and Aubrey Griffin are making a healthy return for the next season. This will help UConn in taking care of the experience department, unlike last year when freshmen like KK Arnold, Qadence Samuels and Ashlynn Shade played a huge role in taking the Huskies to victories.
