Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony and NBA star Paul George bond over love for classic video game Call of Duty

Kiyan Anthony had the privilege to chat with his idol Paul George on the "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast. Among all the talk around basketball and workouts, Anthony and George were seen bonding over their love for videogames in the episode released on July 30.

The two hoopers talked about Call of Duty after Kiyan Anthony shared that he doesn't play 2K games. This prompted the Philadelphia 76ers forward to inquire about Anthony's skills, asking how many kills he'd get in Resurgence.

"Ten at least," Anthony replied. "I think I had like 18 one time," he added as the crew cheered.
"I had a 20 bomb, I think 21 is my highest, that's my career high," Paul George said.

While Paul George's moves and fluency in his game make him relatable to the younger generation, his ventures on consoles do the same when he is not donning a jersey.

George began dedicating time to gaming during the COVID suspension months. Since then, he has become a staple NBA name in the gaming community, often participating in competitive games and regularly streaming on platforms like Twitch.

Kiyan Anthony, on the other hand, has been an avid gamer while growing up. He has a PC and PlayStation in his room alongside a dedicated gaming room in the basement of his home. Moreover, in an exclusive with Ballislife, he claimed that he spends nearly 5 hours gaming daily.

Carmelo Anthony thanks Paul George for inspiring Kiyan Anthony

During the same episode, Carmelo Anthony mounted a grand gesture towards Paul George, purely in light of Kiyan Anthony’s admiration of PG13.

Carmelo Anthony thanked George for constantly being a source of inspiration for his son and always being the best version of himself as a player and person.

"I want to give you your flowers though,” Melo said. “And say, thank you, for inspiring him, you see what I'm saying? That's big. So I want to say thank you, champ for inspiring my son to be happy, say 'PG in the house all f*cking day, all night'. Thank you for that," he added.

Apart from being faces of their respective teams, Carmelo Anthony and George teamed up in Oklahoma City Thunder alongside Russell Westbrook.

After spending 5 years with the Los Angeles Clippers, George is now starting afresh with Joel Embiid and the 76ers.
