Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony reveals all the rare Nike Jordans he owns
Among Kiyan Anthony’s eventful summer was attending the 2024 Sneaker Con event in Brooklyn’s Maimonides Park in Coney Island on Sept. 21-22. The 17-year-old is a huge sneaker-head and has not shied away from showcasing his collection in front of the camera. In one of Overtime’s “Day In The Life” videos, Anthony showcased more than 50 pairs of sneakers he has in his room.
So, before Anthony snapped the energy of the festival from his Instagram, a fan asked him about the rare pair of kicks he owns.
“I’ve had a lot, definitely some 1s, I’ll find 1s that not a lot of people got,” Anthony said. “Some Jordan Ace, I got some Jordan Ace that nobody got, I think I got like, one or two pairs.”
Moreover, Kiyan Anthony also acknowledged the blue Jordan 11 shoes that Michael Jordan gifted him while he was younger.
According to Carmelo Anthony, Michael Jordan asked the LuHi combo guard about the pair of Jordans he wanted as a gift. Melo, who had already obtained the all-red patent leather Jordan 11s, directed his son to point at the royal blue leather sneakers.
However, despite having the rare piece in his collection, Kiyan Anthony has yet to wear it. He usually rotates between Kobe Bryant, Jayson Tatum, and Luka Doncic's signature shoes for his games.
Kiyan Anthony leveraged the hype around sneakers to market his clothing brand
Apart from being ranked as the best hooper in the state of New York, Anthony is also a local business owner through his clothing brand "One Way." He founded the brand with one of his friends in February 2023, without any assistance from his star parents.
Being the brains behind "One Way," Kiyan Anthony religiously sets up pop-up shops in New York to advertise his brand and broaden his customer base.
One such event in August 2024 involved collaborations with Got Sole, a reputed sneaker outlet. Moreover, the 17-year-old set up a live DJ, drinks and food alongside plenty of interactive activities for fans and customers.
The event quickly became a hit as many social media influencers and sneaker collectors made it to the venue. Moreover, NBA player PJ Tucker also attended the event.
