NBA great Carmelo Anthony had a message for his son Kiyan Anthony as he embarks on his basketball career. Days after Kiyan released his list of preferred colleges for next year, Carmelo uploaded a post on Instagram showcasing his son's growth.

"Gon’ let em see, champ⏳ @kiyananthony," Anthony quipped on the post.

The 17-year-old is coming off a promising stint at the Peach Jam, where he dropped a 40-point game and was one of the best scorers in the Peach Invitational Tournament.

Fans on social media reaction Carmelo's post and discussed Kiyan's growth:

Kiyan Anthony's EYBL Peach Jam growth

In the 2023 EYBL Peach Jam, Kiyan Anthony averaged 7.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in under 14 minutes of action across five games. He shot 33.3% from the field and 20% from 3-point range as he failed to touch double-digit scoring four times.

The only time he reached the 10-point threshold was in the last game of the tournament against Houston Hoops with a 21-point performance.

Fast forward to this year, Anthony averaged 21.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in under 30 minutes while shooting 41.5% from the field and 37.3% from the 3-point line.

He touched the 20-point mark in four of his eight games with a 40-point outing against Mac Irvin Fire on 15-19 shooting.
