Cooper Flagg describes surreal feeling of playing in Cameron: “I was able to imagine and dream”
Cooper Flagg is a Blue Devil, and the awesomeness of that fact is not lost on him. In a short locker room interview with Duke Student Broadcasting, the Duke freshman was asked if he'd ever imagined playing in Cameron Indoor Stadium as a kid — he described it as "surreal."
"For sure," Flagg said. "Watching Duke growing up, it's something that I was able to imagine and dream about. So just to be here is really surreal."

Flagg made his first appearance at Cameron Indoor earlier this month, where he was officially introduced as a Blue Devil during the Countdown to Craziness Blue & White scrimmage event.
Not since the days of Zion Williamson has a player had this much hype around them, and with Flagg being a freshman, his ceiling could be even higher than Zion's.
Cooper Flagg scoops up votes in ACC preseason awards
The ACC officially released its preseason awards on Tuesday evening, and Duke’s star freshman unsurprisingly garnered a lot of votes.
He was given the ACC Rookie of the Year with a whopping 53 out of 54 votes and also managed to make the preseason All-ACC First Team, getting 52 of the 54 possible votes. That was the second most of any player in the conference, only behind Tar Heels guard RJ Davis, who received all 54 votes available.
Flagg also finished second to Davis in the preseason ACC Player of the Year voting, earning 10 votes to the Tar Heel’s 40. Notably, no other player in the conference received more than three votes in total.
Cooper Flagg and the the Blue Devils will host the Lincoln Lions in an exhibition game on Oct. 19, before hosting Arizona State in the Brotherhood Run charity game on Oct. 27. Their season will officially tip off the following week against Maine on Nov. 4.
