Cooper Flagg hysterically reacts to Kevin Garnett’s “bada**, cold a** white boy” comment

Cooper Flagg has enthralled the nation with his incredible performances in high school basketball in recent years. Some of the greatest NBA players have taken notice of his talent, with Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett the latest to join that bandwagon.

During the September 20 episode of Garnett's own podcast, "KG Certified," the 15-time All-Star hyped up the talented teenager, using some choice words to stress on his immense potential to become an absolute force in higher levels of the game.

"Yeah, he’s got superstar around him," said Garnett. "I can see kids wanting to be like that, and play like that. You know what I’m saying? We ain’t had no bada**, cold a** white boy like this in a long time! I’m just saying, that’s some real s**t!"

Flagg was asked for a response to Garnett's comments by ESPN's Jonathan Givony. The third-generation Celtics fan couldn't hold back the giggles before appreciating the 2008 NBA champion's immense praise for him.

"I mean, it was definitely, kind of a surreal feeling. Because, being a Celtics fan, obviously he’s the big Celtics figure."

He also addressed the potential comparisons between his skills and some of the key traits that defined Garnett during his career: his defensive versatility and competitiveness.

"For sure. Like you said, defensive versatility, competitiveness. Those are all things, the attitude is something that you can’t really teach. Something that you kind of have to have."

He won the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the Naismith Player of the Year Awards for his efforts. He also took part in the McDonald's All-American game in April.

Flagg is the headline act in an extremely talented Blue Devils freshman class, which features five top-40 recruits, including Khaman Maluach, Isaiah Evans, Kon Kneuppel and Patrick Ngongba II. He has the potential to top the impact made by Blue Devils alum Zion WIlliamson, who came with as much hype, if not more, to Durham in 2018.
