Duke 2024 NBA draft picks: Full list of players drafted from the Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils have been a powerhouse in terms of getting college basketball players into the NBA, and the 2024 NBA Draft was no different. While there's typically a handful of players who are going to find their way among the 60 picks in the draft class, a pair of Blue Devils had their names called to begin their professional careers.

Which players from Duke were selected during the two rounds of the NBA draft? Let's take a closer look at the draft picks and discuss the players.

Duke Round 1 picks

Jared McCain

Guard Jared McCain was the only Duke Blue Devils player selected in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft. He was taken just outside the lottery with the 16th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers and could form a solid backcourt with Tyrese Maxey.

McCain finished his freshman season with the Blue Devils averaging 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 41.4% from beyond the arc. He needs to show the ability to get some extra burst as he's going to need to improve as a playmaker to be a star in the league.

This could be a great selection for the future of the 76ers, who are still trying to compete with center Joel Embiid as a superstar.

Duke Round 2 Picks

Kyle Filipowski

Kyle Filipowski was surprisingly not taken in the first round but did not have to wait long into Round 2 to be drafted. The Utah Jazz selected him with the second pick in the second round (32nd overall). With Isaiah Collier and Cody Williams also being drafted to the Jazz, this is going to be a chance for Filipowski to find his footing with the likes of Walker Kessler.

Filipowski played two seasons with the Blue Devils and finished with 16.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.1 spg and 1.5 blocks in 30.4 minutes per game during the 2023-24 season. The skilled 7-footer needs to improve as a shooter to find time in the NBA.
