"Finally played like a first round pick": College hoops fans show love to 5'6" PG Georgia Amoore after Kentucky beats Belmont
Kentucky guard Georgia Amoore is getting praised by fans after a standout performance that lifted the Wildcats past the Belmont Bruins 84-78 on Friday. The senior scored a team-high 23 points, shooting 8-for-17 from the field.
Fans were quick to give her her flowers on X/Twitter after the game:

Georgia Amoore and Kentucky defeat Belmont 84-78
Georgia Amoore and the No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats head into the holiday break on a high note, riding a three-game winning streak after their 84-78 comeback win over the Belmont Bruins on Friday.
The Wildcats started slow for the second straight game, trailing after the first quarter. Belmont, facing a tough schedule this season with losses to teams like Kansas State, Ohio State and Duke, led 22-20 after the opening period and held Kentucky to just 36% shooting (12-of-33) in the first half.
All-American point guard Georgia Amoore turned the game around in the third quarter, scoring 14 points after sitting most of the first period due to early fouls. Her strong performance helped Kentucky protect its undefeated home record.
Amoore, who managed only one basket in the first half, caught fire in the second, sinking seven 3-pointers. The Wildcats stretched their lead to 12 points in the fourth quarter, but Belmont fought back with a 6-0 run, keeping the game close until junior forward Amelia Hassett sealed the victory with a clutch 3-pointer.
It was an all-round effort from the Wildcats with everyone chipping in. Amoore led the team with a stellar performance, adding three rebounds and five assists in 33 minutes. Hassett contributed 16 points, including four 3-pointers, along with 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Graduate guard Dazia Lawrence also finished with 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Sophomore center Clara Strack added 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal while Teonni Key chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and one block.
The Wildcats take a break over Christmas before returning to the court to face Western Kentucky on Dec. 28.
