Flau'jae Johnson’s mom Kia Brooks drops 3-word reaction on LSU star Mikaylah Williams' selection in USA’s 2025 FIBA 3x3 World Cup team

LSU Tigers' Mikaylah Williams was named in Team USA Women’s 3X3 National Team, which will head to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, for the 2025 FIBA 3×3 World Cup. She is joined by UConn's Sarah Strong, Oklahoma's Sahara Williams and Creighton's Morgan Maly.

March Madness WBB's Instagram handle updated the fans about the college stars' union. Flau'jae Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks, reacted by reposting it on her IG story to congratulate Williams.

"Let's Geaux MK," she wrote.

Despite being opponents in Division I, Mikaylah Williams has got chemistry with Sarah Strong and Sahara Williams. The three laced up for the Marseilles Stop in France earlier this year, where they went 4-0 to open the event. However, the roster fell to eventual champions, Spain, in the quarterfinals.

Mikaylah and Sahara are coming off their best college seasons, averaging a career-high stat line. Strong played a crucial role in the Huskies' first NCAA championship in the last nine years.

Morgan Maly joins the squad after completing her college eligibility. She played five years with Creighton, averaging 17.3 points on 42.7% 3-point shooting the previous season.

The LSU Tigers and Mikaylah Williams will head to Durham for the ACC/SEC Challenge

Mikaylah Williams and the Tigers' 2025-25 ACC/SEC Challenge will come on the road, for the first time in three years since the inception of the annual event. LSU will face the Duke Blue Devils at the Cameron Indoor Stadium on December 4.

Kim Mulkey is undefeated in the inter-league challenge, winning over Stanford last season and over Virginia Tech in 2023. However, with Duke's recent NCAA run, home-ground advantage and history against LSU, they will present tough competition for Mikaylah Williams and Co.

The Blue Devils are 3-2 against the Tigers in the all-time series. The last time the two teams met was in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, where the Lady Devils won the second-round matchup at home.
