LSU star Flau'jae Johnson's stepdad Ameen Brooks showed his support for her teammate Jada Richard. On Monday on Instagram, the freshman guard shared several photos of herself in Sunday's 64-51 win over Texas A&M.
Brooks responded to the photos with two words:
"I believe."

Flau'jae Johnson's LSU defeats Texas A&M despite poor scoring
LSU star Flau'jae Johnson had 22 points and five rebounds in the Tigers' 64-51 win over Texas A&M on Sunday. However, she was unhappy with LSU's performance.
"Personally, I think we could have did way better," she said (Timestamp: 1:08). "We had a couple of defensive lapses where they shot off near kills, which is like three stops in a row. So, we got to clean that up on defense. And, they was at the free-throw line. We put them at the free-throw line.
"So, you take away those free throws, they score about 10 points in the first half."
The Tigers struggled with scoring as they were limited to 31.9% against the Aggies. However, LSU limited the visitors to 31.4% shooting.
LSU's biggest strength was the defense and rebounds, with Aneesah Morrow reaching 1,538 career rebounds in the game, cementing her place in the top 10 in NCAA Division I history.
LSU forced 21 turnovers and grabbed 52 rebounds, with its 30 offensive rebounds being the most in a Southeastern Conference game in program history.
"Thirty offensive boards, 21 turnovers,” LSU coach Kim Mulkey said. (Timestamp: 11:36) “That’s rebounding, and that’s defense, and when it’s tough for you on the offensive end, that’s what keeps you in ball games, and that’s what helps you win ball games. And I know I’ve preached that since I’ve been here, but this is a great example of it today.”
Up next, No. 7 LSU (21-1, 6-1) will host No. 13 Oklahoma (16-4, 4-3) for the annual whiteout game on Thursday night.
