Flau'jae Johnson Stats Tonight: How did LSU star fare vs Stanford (Dec. 5) 

Flau'jae Johnson provided another excellent outing for the No. 5 LSU Tigers, tallying 21 points, three rebounds, six assists and two steals before fouling out in overtime of their 94-88 win over the Stanford Cardinal on Thursday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Johnson shot 8-of-20 from the field, including 3-of-8 from 3-point range in 40 minutes. She was 2-of-4 from the free throw line for another big outing for the Tigers, who remained unbeaten in 10 games and improved to 8-0 at home.

The 5-foot-10 guard scored five points in the first quarter on a jumper and a 3-pointer. She had an assist and rebound for the Kim Mulkey-coached squad, who fell into a 28-15 hole in the first 10 minutes.

Johnson would pick up two points on a jumper at the 7:26 mark of the second period. She had three assists and two steals for LSU, which reduced the deficit to two at the half, 39-37.

The Sprayberry, Georgia native scored seven more points on two jumpers and a 3-pointer to keep the Tigers afloat, as the Cardinal continued to hold on to the driver's seat, 57-52.

Johnson's seven fourth-quarter points would keep LSU in the thick of the fight with Stanford in the middle part of the payoff period. Her jumper and 3-pointer reduced the deficit to four points and her two free throws kept it a two-possession game with 6:05 left.

The Tigers would keep themselves in close distance with the Cardinal until Kailyn Gilbert and Mikaylah Williams scored five straight points in the final minute to force overtime.

LSU would hold on to the win, scoring six straight points to push the lead to eight, 94-86, with 13 ticks left.

Tigers vs. Cardinal Game Recap: Mikaylah Williams, Kailyn Gilbert, Flau'jae Johnson shine as LSU overcomes Stanford

LSU came from behind to beat Stanford 94-88 in overtime to remain unscathed in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.

Mikaylah Williams exploded for a game-high 32 points, on 12-of-18 shooting from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Williams also had nine rebounds and one assist in 42 minutes for the Tigers, who clawed back from 15 points down to take the win.

Kailyn Gilbert came off the bench to score 25 points. She made 9-of-12 shots from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line, as the guard was the only player to score from the bench.

Flau'jae Johnson finished with 21 points to help LSU in offense while Aneesah Morrow grabbed 16 rebounds, including six from the offensive glass for the Tigers, who shot 45.6% from the field and 40% from long range.

Nunu Agara led Stanford's charge with 29 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and one block. It was the Cardinal's second loss in nine games this season.

Brooke Demetre scored 19 points while Elena Bosgana and Jzaniya Harriel added 16 and 15 points, respectively. Stanford has yet to win an away game this year.
