“Forgot huh, silly girl": Paige Bueckers, KK Arnold and UConn teammates react to Azzi Fudd's NYC Fashion Week pictures
Paige Bueckers, KK Arnold and a few other UConn players reacted to Azzi Fudd's best moments on Instagram from the New York Fashion Week. Although the event took place in September, the Huskies guard showed off some of her best snaps from the event on Friday.
Fudd wore a green shirt and a denim skirt for the event. The last picture featured a snap of herself and Bueckers.
"NYC Fashion week pics that I forgot to post 🤭," Fudd captioned the post.
Bueckers was among the first to comment on Fudd's post, mocking her teammate for taking a long time to share the snaps from the annual event.
Forgot huh," Bueckers commented. "Silly girl."
Princeton transfer Kaitlyn Chen mockingly questioned the timing of the post.
"How did you forget to post these?!" Chen commented.
Meanwhile, some of her teammates, including KK Arnold, Allie Ziebell and Qadence Samuels, showed love for Fudd.
"LETS GO FUDDDDD," Arnold said.
"Wow we are rlly just getting blessed with content recently," Ziebell commented.
"OMG SO CUTE," Samuels wrote.
Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers made their New York Fashion Week debuts this year
The UConn Huskies duo made their first appearances at the event in the offseason this year. Bueckers, in particular, made a memorable impression on the red carpet. She donned a black dress studded with butterflies and had a fun interaction with Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee.
While Fudd missed the 2023-24 season due to an ACL injury, Bueckers returned from the same injury in emphatic fashion. Last season, she averaged 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.4 blocks, earning unanimous First-Team All-American honors.
With Bueckers touted to be a top pick in next year's WNBA draft and Fudd entering her final season of eligibility, the 2024-25 season represents their last chance to win a national championship with the Huskies. They will begin the upcoming season on Thursday against the Boston University Terriers.
