Former Iowa stars Gabbie Marshall and Caitlin Clark hyped up over Hawkeyes' season tickets news
Iowa alums Caitlin Clark and Gabbie Marshall have left their college days behind but are still connected to the Hawkeyes nation. The duo shared their approval after the school announced its season tickets for the upcoming season were sold out on Wednesday.
"15,000 strong, all season long 💪 For the second straight year, season tickets are sold out!" the caption of the post read.
Caitlin Clark, who played for the Hawkeyes for four seasons, reshared the post on her Instagram story. Likewise, Gabbie Marshall also reposted it on her Instagram, showing their excitement for the new season.
"Hawkeye Nation!!!" Gabbie wrote the caption with three fire emojis.
Marshall played together with Clark at Iowa for four seasons. She was a sophomore when Clark joined Lisa Bluder's team.
Both of them completed their studies this summer; Clark joined the Indiana Fever in the WNBA after being selected in the draft, while Marshall didn't get drafted and eventually decided to retire from playing basketball.
This week, Marshall also gave kudos to Clark for clinching the WNBA Rookie of the Year title and sharing the Fevers post on her Instagram story to show her support.
With a second defeat to the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, Caitlin Clark and Fever were eliminated from the first round of the WNBA playoff. Despite the loss, Clark said her debut year was "special."
"Basketball has really consumed my life for years so, I feel like it will be good for me to kind of reflect back on everything that’s happened." Caitlin said. "I feel like I didn’t even have time to reflect on my college career."
Caitlin Clark praises Gabbie Marshall's dance video on TikTok
Despite seeking separate ways after graduation, Fever rookie Caitlin Clark still finds a way to show her love to the former Iowa teammate.
On Saturday, Marshall posted a new dance video on TikTok to the song "Dumb D**k" by Level featuring Ms. Trill.
"@jades can you please teach me how to dance?" she captioned the video.
"This is some of ur best work tho," Caitlin commented.
Another teammate and current Hawkeye star, Jada Gyamfi, also reacted to the dance video.
"Now miss gabbers I’m actually proud of u for this," Jada wrote.
Clark and Marshall played as starters for the Hawkeyes for most of their college careers. Together, the duo won three Big Ten conference tournaments and led Iowa to two NCAA championship finals.
