Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony predicts who will win the 2025 NBA championship

Carmelo Anthony has enjoyed some memorable years with the New York Knicks. While he failed to win the coveted NBA championship in six seasons at the Big Apple, his son Kiyan believes the Knicks are destined for success in the 2024-25 season.

Earlier today, SLAM magazine shared a reel of Kiyan taking part in their rapid-fire round. When asked about his pick for the 2025 NBA championship, he gave it a fair bit of thought before backing the Knicks to go all the way next season.

"Ummm, 2025? The New York Knicks," said Kiyan.

The Knicks enjoyed a strong 2023-24 season, finishing second in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 regular season record. Led by stars like OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson, the Knicks made the conference semifinals in the playoffs, which they lost 4-3 to the Indiana Pacers.

The Knicks have done a stellar job in bolstering their squad during the offseason. Along with re-signing Anunoby, they also added talented guard Mikal Bridges to their roster, following an impressive season with the Brooklyn Nets.

However, the loss of RJ Barrett to the Toronto Raptors and an injury to star forward Julius Randle could hamper them next season.

Although the Knicks haven't lifted the Larry O'Brien trophy since 1973, they might just have a good chance to end their 51-year drought in the 2024-25 season. This is, of course, despite the threat posed by their fierce conference rivals, the Boston Celtics.

Kiyan Anthony following in the footsteps of his father Carmelo Anthony

Kiyan has been a force to be reckoned with in high school basketball. He has established himself as one of the top guards in New York during his time with Long Island Lutheran High. The teenager is currently the 34th-ranked prospect overall, as per 247 Sports.

His future is a subject of great interest. He has received offers from six colleges, including his father, Carmelo's alma mater, Syracuse University. However, he could be headed for the NBA in the 2025 draft as a potential second-round pick straight out of high school.

Whether he will take his talents to the NBA or develop further in NCAA men's basketball, only time will tell.
