Former UNC star Armando Bacot exposes Blue Devils players while confessing to never flirting with "Duke girls"

While talking about his love-hate relationship with Duke, former UNC forward Armando Bacot spilled the beans on the Blue Devils' players. While speaking to AJ Richardson and ex-UNC star Theo Pinson on the Run Your Race podcast, Bacot gave a hilarious insight into a contrasting interaction between the neighboring schools.

Armando Bacot claimed that Duke players used to connect with girls from the UNC campus while the Tar Heels players maintained a distance from Duke students.

"They don't come to our area, we don't go to their area, but it's so close," Bacot said. "We definitely not talking to no Duke girls. They might be talking to some UNC girls," he continued.
"We were not doing that. I'll tell you this though, its interesting he said that, because they always came to Carolina though," Theo Pinson added before stating that he consistely witnessed Duke players in UNC's library.

The rivalry between the Blue Devils and Tar Heels is one of the most popular battles in college basketball. The two universities sit eight miles from each other as the teams log in nearly 100 years of on-court history.

Moreover, the two teams have consistently been the top faces of the best basketball programs in the nation, further fueling the competition.

Armando Bacot will play alongside Duke's former star in the NBA

Armando Bacot went undrafted in the 2024 NBA draft but got another chance to make a big-league entry. He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Utah Jazz, a single-year minimum salary deal with the potential of being converted into a 2-way offer before the 2024-25 season begins.

With that, the former UNC star is destined to share the NBA floor with Duke’s Kyle Filipowski, who was selected 32nd overall by the Jazz.

Armando Bacot spent 5-years with Tar Heels and made huge contributions in pulling off one of the biggest upsets against Duke. He scored 11 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to hand the Blue Devils a loss in Mike Krzyzewski’s last game with the program.

Bacot shares a 2-2 record while playing Kyle Filipowski, averaging 16.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks. On the other hand, Filipowski averages 20.2 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks when facing Bacot’s roster.
