From Peach Jam to Rucker Park, Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony gears up for epic showdown at SLAM Summer Classic Volume 6
Carmelo Anthony had a legendary basketball career. He spent 19 seasons in the NBA and is ranked tenth on the league's all-time scoring list. Although he didn't win an NBA championship, he did win three Olympic gold medals with Team USA as well as a national title in his lone season of college basketball with the Syracuse Orange.
His son, Kiyan Anthony, is now looking to follow in the footsteps of his father's illustrious career, which will certainly land him in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class has been busy in the offseason circuit ahead of his senior season of high school basketball.
The younger Anthony appeared in the Peach Jam earlier this offseason and is reportedly set to participate in the SLAM Summer Classic Volume 6 at the historic Rucker Park later this month. SLAM Magazine's official X account shared the news on Thursday, tweeting:
"Bucket-getting is engraved in his DNA. Kiyan Anthony is ready to take over at the SLAM Summer Classic Volume 6 presented by @NBA2K at Rucker Park on August 21."

Anthony has been rising up the recruiting ranks and was recently listed as the top prospect in the 2025 class from the state of New York, per ESPN's scouting database. After a brief break from the court to enjoy the 2024 Paris Olympics with his father, he will make his return at the most iconic streetball court in the world.
Carmelo Anthony's alma mater makes Kiyan Anthony's top-six
Carmelo Anthony played one year of college basketball, leading the Syracuse Orange to their only national title in program history in 2003. He averaged 22.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 45.3% from the field, 33.7% from three-point range and 70.6% from the free-throw line.
The Orange are one of six teams - along with the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, Rutgers Scarlet Knights and USC Trojans - that Kiyan Anthony is still considering as he approaches his collegiate decision. He shared the final list to his X account last month, tweeting:
"MY 6️⃣!! #agtg"
