On September 25, 2024, Cavinder and Ferguson celebrated their first anniversary. She commemorated the occasion by posting a series of photos with a heartfelt caption that read, “A year w Ferg.”

The couple’s relationship first caught fans’ attention in September 2023. That's when Cavinder appeared on social media wearing Cowboys gear, including Ferguson’s No. 87 jersey.

Cavinder later shared in a Q&A session with her twin sister, Hanna, that she initially met Ferguson through social media.

“He DM’d me,” she revealed, referring to the former standout at Wisconsin and a 2022 NFL Draft pick.
Clarifying that it was Ferguson who initiated contact, she continued, “He likes to say I DM’d him, but I didn’t.”
Recalling their first days together, she added, “I was in Fort Lauderdale at the time. He has a place in Florida as well, and we went on a date, hung out for 10 days straight, and just kinda connected.”
