Hannah Stuelke stats: How did Iowa star play against BYU (November 30)
Hannah Stuelke and the No. 22 Iowa Hawkeyes continued their perfect start to the 2024-25 season on Friday night, beating the BYU Cougars 68-48 in the Cancun Challenge.
Stuelke led Iowa in scoring with 16 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists to help the Hawkeyes preserve their unbeaten slate through eight games.
She shot 5-for-9 from the field, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. She also made four of her five free-throw attempts. Stuelke had trouble controlling the basketball against BYU, committing a season-high six turnovers.

Hannah Stuelke's strong start propels Iowa to another win
Stuelke did most of her damage in the first quarter, scoring nine of her 16 points in the opening period. The Cougars kept it close in the first half, though, with the Hawkeyes building a 25-19 lead at the break. Iowa pulled away in the second half, outscoring BYU 43-25 during that period.
Stuelke has now scored at least 16 points in five of the Hawkeyes' first eight games. She reached that mark in the wins against Virginia Tech, Toledo, Drake and Kansas. Stuelke is Iowa's third-leading scorer this season, averaging 14.5 points per game on 47.6% shooting.
Stuelke gets offensive help from Addison O'Grady and Aaliyah Guyton
It wasn't just Stuelke who punished the BYU defense, as two other players scored in double figures for the Hawkeyes. Addison O'Grady recorded 12 points and four rebounds in 25 minutes of action. She also displayed her defensive prowess, amassing three blocks and one steal.
Aaliyah Guyton provided much-needed offense off the bench for Iowa, scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting. She was lights out from the 3-point area, knocking down all of her three attempts from beyond the arc.
Kemery Congdon led the scoring for the Cougars, who dropped to 6-2 with the loss. She finished the game with 13 points, one rebound, one assist, three steals and one block.
Iowa and BYU's upcoming schedule
Iowa will next face the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Saturday. BYU, on the other hand, will meet the UTEP Miners next on Thursday.
