“Hey there” “face card”: Chloe Kitts, Aliyah Boston and more hype up South Carolina’s Bree Hall over latest snaps
South Carolina star Bree Hall enters her senior year this upcoming season. On Tuesday, Hall shared a series of snaps on her Instagram. Her Gamecocks teammate Chloe Kitts and Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston were quick to show their love.
Hall, a two-time national champion, posted five photos ahead of the new season with the caption:
"coming soonn #year4."
In the pictures, Bree Hall struck various poses wearing the Gamecocks home uniform. In one snap, she gets royal treatment as she sits in a crown holding a basketball and her two NCAA trophies are prominently displayed.
Her current and former South Carolina teammates were all over the post, hyping her up.
"oh hey there 😏," junior forward Chloe Kitts commented.
"Face card🥰🥰," Hall's ex-teammate Aliyah Boston wrote.
"LAST YEAR BEST YEAR BIG BREEZE🔥," Boston added another comment.
Meanwhile, Raven Johnson had no words to describe as she left a series of love emojis in the comments.
Hall led South Carolina to two NCAA national championships — one in her freshman year and another in the previous season as a junior.
Last season, Hall played in every game, helping the Gamecocks achieve an impressive 38-0 record without a single defeat. She averaged 9.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Bree Hall reflects on the unwavering team chemistry among Gamecocks
Dawn Staley's South Carolina will head into the new season as the No. 1 team in the nation. Bree Hall is confident that the Gamecocks' core from last season's championship team will be a significant advantage and the chemistry is strong among teammates.
"I think the chemistry hasn't changed at all," Bree said. "We love each other real hard. We've got each other's back."
Only two players left the roster this offseason — Kamilla Cardoso, drafted by the Chicago Sky and Sahnya Jah, who joined Arizona. The rest of the starters — Raven Johnson, Chloe Kitts and Te-Hina Paopao are all back as the Gamecocks aim to defend the title.
"I like for our teams to take on their own identity. This team, they're silly," coach Staley said about the team chemistry. "They like to have a lot of fun ... As long as they're working hard, they're super competitive, they're respectful."
Bree Hall will start her fourth year at South Carolina against Michigan in Las Vegas. She was named into the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watchlist alongside her teammate MiLaysia Fulwiley.
