Hunter Dickinson powered No. 8-ranked Kansas to an 87-53 victory over Brown on Sunday in the Jayhawks' last nonconference matchup in the 2024-25 college basketball season.
The 7-foot-2 slotman scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for his sixth double-double. The senior, who also picked up four assists and three blocks, made 6 of 14 shots from the field and made all his three free throws in 24 minutes for the Bill Self-coached squad, who improved to 9-2.
Hunter Dickinson scored his first two points, making his free throws at 15:58. He made his fourth point on a layup, giving Kansas a 16-7 advantage with 14:39 remaining.
Brown trimmed the gap to one point on a 14-6 run but Dickinson buried a jumper and delivered an assist to AJ Storr, who made a triple that increased the Jayhawks' lead to 33-25 at the 6:05 mark.
The center picked up seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the first half and Kansas zoomed to a 42-31 lead.
Dickinson stepped up on his offense in the second half, delivering nine points and grabbed six rebounds. He teamed up with Jayhawks guard Zeke Mayo in orchestrating a 45-22 run that gave Kansas a comfortable margin and secured their ninth win in 11 games.

Kansas demolished Brown, 87-53, to end their 2024-25 college basketball nonconference campaign on a bright note. The Jayhawks used a 45-22 second-half surge to pull away from the Bears and improved to 7-0 at home.
Zeke Mayo topscored for the Bill Self-coached squad with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 5-of-8 from 3-pointers. The 6-foot-4 senior added eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block for the Jayhawks.
Hunter Dickinson played an efficient game for Kansas, tallying 15 points, 13 rebounds (four offensive), four assists and three blocks. KJ Adams Jr also scored in double figures for the Jayhawks with 10 points.
Kansas shot 50% from the field, including 36.4% from the 3-point line. Its defense held Brown to 26.7% shooting (24.2% from long range).
The Jayhawks ruled the rebounding battle 50-40 and dominated the assists (17-8), steals (7-4) and blocks (10-5). Kansas recorded six turnovers and tallied 40 inside points.
Kansas opens its Big 12 regular season campaign against West Virginia on Dec. 31 at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence.
