"I approve this message" - Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders gives the nod to daughter Shelomi's showmanship
Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders has always shown her support for daughter Shelomi. Sanders and the Colorado head coach have three kids together: Shelomi, Shedeur, and Shilo. While her sons are following in their dad's footsteps in football, Shelomi is carving her own path with her passion for basketball.
After spending last season with Colorado, Shelomi decided to transfer to Alabama A&M to continue her collegiate journey. During their recent 96-50 against Oakwood, Pilar Sanders' daughter put up a brilliant display on her debut.
To celebrate this achievement, Pilar Sanders shared a video on Instagram. The clip included a snippet of Shelomi making a basket against Oakwood. Pilar Sanders accompanied the post with some words of encouragement for her daughter.
"How we properly show love to all of our supporters. yeah that's mine right there fo sho! I am #pilarsanders and I approve this message! go baby!," Pilar wrote in the caption.
During her HBCU debut with Alabama A&M, Shelomi scored 14 points, one rebound, and one assist. She set a new personal record and showcased her value as an offensive and defensive player for the team.
Last season, Shelomi saw limited time on the court with the Colorado Buffaloes. She got to play in five games and averaged 0.6 points, 0.6, rebounds along with a field goal percentage of 16.7%.
Pilar Sanders praises son Shedeur Sanders for his latest achievement
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is in the midst of his final collegiate campaign. He decided to play out one more season before declaring for the NFL draft next year. So far, we he and Coach Prime have been successful in helping the Buffs be eligible for the Bowl games this season.
Recently, Shedeur was honored as the Hula Bowl Offensive Player of the Week. His mother Pilar took to social media to show her appreciation and praise for his hard work.
"Remember what y'all said, 'no other collegiate QB has endured more!' So this is quite fitting!," Pilar wrote in the caption
After an open week, the Colorado Buffaloes are next scheduled to take on Texas Tech. Though their chances are slim, they could be a potential contender for a spot in the new 12-team playoffs.
