“I'm happy it's back”: $1.2B worth LeBron James expresses excitement as he gets his hands on EA College Football 25
A huge gridiron fan, LeBron James had early access to the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 game. The NBA's all-time scoring leader, who has a net worth of $1.2 billion (as per Forbes), was streaming his new find with Frankie Walker Sr. on behalf of 356 Hillwood when Kai Cenat briefly joined their session through a video call.
Cenat opened with friendly banter, claiming that he would have beaten both James and Walker had he been present there. As LeBron James invited the YouTuber to a contest, Cenat enquired James about the new game before promising to play it soon.
"Oh, it's nice," James replied. "I'm happy. It's been a while since the game been, so I'm happy it's back," he added.
James is part of EA Sports’ marketing initiative to build fans’ anticipation for the upcoming game by handing a handful of celebrities and athletes the pre-launch access.
That's mostly due to the decade-long wait for the gaming company to launch a college football game. EA Sports also plans to give fans a walkthrough of all the different modes in the game.
The launching date of the game is July 19, and it will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Moreover, people with preorders of the Deluxe Edition will have a chance to play the game on July 16.
LeBron James will participate in EA's football streaming matchup
LeBron James will face off against his former high school football coach Frankie Walker on Twitch. The game is scheduled to happen on Saturday and will be streamed on Hillwood’s Twitch stream.
Former Heisman trophy champions Tim Tebow and Michael Vick will face off on the weekend, and a game between Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter is also slated.
James is said to play with the Ohio State in the stream, while Walker will play with Miami. It will be the shortest event of the weekend ,as a two-hour Sketch College Football Kickoff Stream will occur next.
Additionally, players like Donovan Edwards, Chad Walker and Ben Haumiller will partake in the remaining 3 matches on Day 1. Hunter and Sanders begin Day 2 festivities by repping the Buffaloes before three more matchups spanning until the evening.
