"I'm so over LSU": Flau'jae Johnson unleashes as she gets a $100 parking ticket on the campus

Flau'jae Johnson represented the LSU Tigers' women's basketball program at the SEC Media Day alongside Aneesah Morrow and coach Kim Mulkey. A star player for the Tigers, Johnson has cultivated an extended stardom with her growing music career. However, when it comes to parking enforcement at LSU, Johnson is no less than other students.

So, when Johnson received a $100 ticket for a parking violation, she took it upon herself to spark a friendly feud with the university. She expressed her frustration on the "Best of Both Worlds" podcast, noting that the staff knew it was her vehicle. Moreover, she also shared a video of her finding out about the fine.

"Bro I'm so over LSU; how y'all going to give me a ticket in this fall break, bro?," Johnson said in the candid video. "I'm not paying this. How much that is? A $100? Y'all better go find something safe to do coz I'm not paying this."

Despite her remarks, the video highlights a playful banter towards LSU and its parking enforcement squad. Johnson has 60 days to pay for the fine, but if she wants to contest it, she must act fast, as appeals are accepted within the first 14 days of receiving the ticket.

While Johnson did not specify the rule she overstepped, it can be narrowed down to a few possible violations. LSU deploys a $100 fine for hazardous parking, blockage, parking against flow, parking in a no parking zone, reserved space, on restricted streets, sidewalks and more.

Flau'jae Johnson has an intersection named after her

In August 2023, Johnson was honored by her hometown of Savannah in a unique way. The community dedicated an intersection to her at Abercorn Street and West Montgomery Cross Road, renaming it the Flau'jae Johnson intersection.

The gesture came in light of Flau'jae Johnson's continued dedication to representing her home, her professional success and her efforts to give back to the community.

The decision was finalized months before the ceremony in August by Georgia State representative Carl Gilliard when the Tigers won the 2023 NCAA championship.

Interestingly, it was during the LSU’s last days of the 2023 run when Sue Bird launched the idea to Lil Wayne about collaborating with Johnson. It turned out to be Flau’jae Johnson’s biggest collaboration in her musical career, which single-handedly solidified her as a budding artist.
