"I was panicking": Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony overcomes his "biggest fear"
Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony had to confront one of his biggest fears during a recent episode of "The Evolu7ion." In the episode, the high school hooper faced one of his most crippling fears — snakes.
Overtime posted the fourth episode of season two of the series on Friday, where Kiyan is challenged to touch a snake. He and his friends played a game called "What's in the Box," which was hilarious.
The premise of the challenge is that the participant has to reach into a box blindfolded and guess what's in it. Several items were placed in the box including a rat and a snake.
"I've seen the inside-the-box challenge on TikTok first. I've seen live animals and all of that," Kiyan said. "I was panicking. Snakes are like my biggest fear."
After the game, Anthony tried to hold the snake. He was initially terrified but ultimately showed incredible bravery and resilience.
"I touched the snake I ain't gonna lie. I'm green," he said proudly after mustering the courage.
Kiyan Anthony narrows down his list of offers to three schools
Kiyan Anthony trimmed down his college offers to the final six in July. Last week, he further narrowed it down to three schools.
He won't pursue Ohio State, Rutgers and Florida State, leaving him with Syracuse, USC and Auburn.
The No. 1 player in New York visited his dad's alma mater Syracuse last year and went to the University of Southern California last month. He was scheduled to visit Rutgers earlier this month but decided to cancel it.
Anthony spoke about the remaining programs during an interview with On3.
Syracuse:
"Syracuse has a young core on the team now. And I learned a lot about the coaches and their vision ... The type of players they’re recruiting and who all they think will be around. I liked all the stuff I heard from them."
USC:
"Coach (Eric) Musselman reached out to me when I was in Vegas. He definitely shows a lot of love."
Auburn:
"Coach (Ira) Bowman reaches out to me every other day. He checks on me and a few of my close friends are over there.
Anthony said he will finalize his college decision by late October or early November before the new season commences.
