Paige Bueckers missed her dream sporting event despite her 'World Tour'

From atending the Miami Heat’s playoff game days after UConn’s NCAA loss to the U.S. Open in New York, Paige Bueckers mounted a unique run this offseason. She was at multiple sporting events throughout the summer, prompting fans to quip her string of journeys as a “World Tour.”

However, Bueckers missed the most important event of the year. In an interview with GQ Sports at the New York Fashion Week, she claimed that her dream sporting event to attend is the Olympics.

"Dream sporting event is definitely the Olympics," Bueckers said. "I wanted to go to Paris but it just would have been too much traveling so, definitely I would say the Olympics."

Nevertheless, the 2028 Olympics will be organized in Los Angeles, allowing Bueckers to attend as many Olympic events as she can.

Moreover, with the projections of Bueckers being the top pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, there is a possibility that she will be an active participant in the 2028 Olympics, spearheading Team USA’s roster.
