IN PHOTOS: Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony shows off basketball prowess at a sneaker exhibition
With his Japan trip coming to an end, Kiyan Anthony is slowly heading back to the court. Anthony recently made a short stint to support a local clothing brand One Way Clothing NY in his hometown, meeting his friends and spending some time with fans.
The One Way brand partnered with Got Sole to launch a pop-up shop in New Jersey. It invited Anthony after his first appearance to a similar event on June 2, 2024.
The event included a live DJ, food and drinks alongside plenty of interviews and a few games of pickup basketball. @mast3rmindllc uploaded a snippet of Kiyan taking on a fan in a one-on-one game, which the 17-year-old hooper reposted on his Instagram story.
After a few crossover dribbles, Kiyan quickly blew by his opponent and skied up for an emphatic slam.
The sneaker store also uploaded a young fan blocking Anthony's shot during a game.
Moreover, the high school hooper then checked out some of his favorite sneakers from the event.
Apart from Anthony, plenty of social media influencers and sneaker collectors made an appearance in the arena, with Moses the Jeweler handing out cash, sneakers and watches in rewards. Additionally, Los Angeles Clippers' PJ Tucker was also present in the vicinity.
Kiyan Anthony is going through an eventful offseason
Kiyan Anthony has had an eventful last few months. In July, he took part in Nike's EYBL Peach Jam. While his Team Melo did not make it to the main event, they were eligible to participate in the Peach Invitational Tournament, allowing Kiyan Anthony to ball out and become one of the top-scoring players in the week-long tourney.
Anthony's most notable PIT game came against the Mac Irvin Fire, where he mounted a 40-point game while shooting 78.9% overall and 83.3% from the long range.
Anthony then announced his list of six schools he's considering for college, naming the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, USC Trojans, Rutgers Scarlet Knights and his father's alma mater Syracuse Orange as his top landing spots.
Since then, Anthony has been enjoying a trip to Japan with his mother La La Anthony. At the same time, the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast saw Anthony make a special appearance alongside Carmelo Anthony and his idol Paul George.
