Kiyan Anthony is on a relaxing Japan tour after being one of the top players in EYBL's Peach Jam circuit. The 17-year-old led Team Melo in PIT and then yielded his list of the top 6 college programs that he is considering for next year.

In an immersive detour, Kiyan Anthony was with his mother, LaLa, exploring the urban landscape of Tokyo.

Lala posted a carousel on her Instagram exploring the city, trying a glazed strawberry stick (Ichigo Ame), posing with Anthony and a video where the group is enjoying a brief samurai lesson in a nearby dojo wearing an all-black uniform (gi).

Anthony is coming off a monumental EYBL stretch. He was the 11th-best scorer in the multi-state tourney that harbored more than 1000 top players from the nation.

He averaged 19.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 rebounds through 15 games, touching the 20-point mark seven times. His best game came in a 29-point game with 6 rebounds and 4 steals against Team Final.

Due to a low overall record, Team Melo did not qualify for the Peach Jam main event but was successful enough to get a Peach Invitational Tournament bid. Kiyan Anthony not only improved his production but emerged as the third-best scorer of the tourney, averaging 21.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

His highest-scoring game was a 40-point bomb against Mac Irvin Fire while shooting 78.9% from the field and 83.3% from three-point line.

Kiyan Anthony is open to attending the same school as Carmelo Anthony

Kiyan Anthony made headlines with his 40-point game at PIT and announced that he would declare his preferred college programs after the competition.

Now, before he headed to Japan, Anthony named Bruce Pearl’s Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, USC Trojans and his father's alma mater, Syracuse Orange.

Currently, USC and Syracuse are touted to land the four-star player. Trojans, as a school, have an illustrious history of harboring star kids, with LeBron James’ son Bronny James being the latest example. Moreover, Syracuse remains at the forefront due to its Carmelo connection.
