IN PIC: Dawn Staley thanks Deion Sanders and Travis Hunter for sending her signed Colorado star's jersey

Even though South Carolina coach Dawn Staley is a loud and proud supporter of the Gamecocks' college football team, she is always in awe of the performance of Travis Hunter, the two-way star of the Colorado Buffaloes led by Deion Sanders.

Staley expressed her support to Hunter and the Buffaloes many times this college football season. She admires him so much so that the national championship-winning coach asked for a Travis Hunter jersey after Colorado's exciting 38-31 win against the Baylor Bears at Folson Field.

It seems like Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes took notice of Staley's demand and sent her a signed jersey, which she showed off on her Instagram account. The caption of the post was:

"Thank you [Colorado Buffaloes] [Travis Hunter] [Deion Sanders] for this beast of her jersey! My @aflac family @gknutson i know you had a hand in this so beak you very much!! 🤣🤣🤣"

Dawn Staley's South Carolina squad is the "most dangerous team in the country," as per Carolyn Peck

One of the most formidable women's basketball teams in the SEC is the Dawn Staley-led South Carolina Gamecocks. Fresh off a national championship win last season, they are next year's favorites as well.

One of the former national championship coaches, Carolyn Peck, who helped the Purdue Boilermakers to the 1999 NCAA championship title, believes that the Gamecocks can pull off the great feat in 2025.

On NBC Sports' episode of "Got Next with Meghan and Zora," on Oct. 29, she said:

"I mean, you got a defender like Raven Johnson, a point guard in Te-Hina Paopao and Breezy Hall is back, Ashlyn Watkins, Sania Feagin Khloe, Chloe Kitts. I mean you can go on and on. And these are players that got significant playing time and then you add to that a great talent like Joyce Edwards, come on, South Carolina is going to be that team to be." (5:25)

The Gamecocks were undefeated last year and had an average win margin of 24.3 points. With the toughness implemented by Staley on the squad and the team's drive, it can be a big problem for other schools in the upcoming WBB season.
