According to a post by UConn men's basketball on X, the ring depicts six stones that represent UConn's six national titles, images of the Big East regular season and tournament trophies, and the number "21" that represents the Huskies combined Big East regular season and tournament wins.

Engraved inside the ring is the list of UConn's scores during the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The other side of the ring denotes the path BK-BOS-PHX, representing the team's tournament path from Brooklyn to Boston to Phoenix. The 37-3 record and the NCAA championship logo were also inscribed on the ring.

Memorabilia manufacturer Jostens designed two rings for the occasion. The other ring honors the Huskies' consecutive titles, and the school proudly wrote on its social media post that it is the first back-to-back ring in college athletics.

UConn coach Dan Hurley discusses his recruitment process

UConn coach Dan Hurley on Wednesday secured his second Class of 2025 recruit in versatile big man Eric Reibe. The commitment of the 7-foot German-born cager came in weeks after 6-foot-5 wing Darius Adams committed to the Huskies.

The pickups have rocketed UConn to the No. 10 rank for the 2025 recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports. The Huskies might move up again in the coming weeks, for they are the favorites to snap up another top-25 recruit in Braylon Mullins of Indiana. Mullins is set to announce his decision on Oct. 23.

Last year, Hurley secured five-star recruit Liam McNeeley and four-star recruits Ahmad Nowell and Isaiah Abraham. He also gained quality pickups in the transfer portal in Aidan Mahaney and Tarris Reed.

The veteran coach spoke about the team's recruitment style, which favors more on the accountability piece of each player rather than recruiting everybody available.

"In recruiting, we're selective," he said (per The Hour). "And we're not exactly what everyone is looking for, in terms of the workload, the accountability piece, the commitment that you have to make to the team with us. It's not for everyone, so we don't recruit everyone. It's a pretty strong filter, the way we do things."

Dan Hurley and UConn open their 2024-25 college basketball season as the No. 3 ranked team in the preseason poll by The Associated Press. They are set to take on Sacred Heart at home on Nov. 6.
