IN PICS: Former Iowa star Caitlin Clark shows gratitude as Gabbie Marshall and Monika Czinano celebrate her major feat

Former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark added another achievement to her historic rookie year in the WNBA, getting selected for the All-WNBA First Team. Clark had one of the best debut seasons in league history and won the Rookie of the Year award.

Her teammates at Iowa — Gabbie Marshall, Monika Czinano and Kate Martin — were thrilled about her accomplishment, taking to social media to congratulate Clark and share how proud they are of her.

Czinano, who graduated from Iowa last year after spending five seasons with the Hawkeyes, reposted on her Instagram story a photo posted by Indiana Fever celebrating Clark's feat.

"Duh 🫶 u @caitlinclark22," Czinano captioned.

Caitlin Clark reacted to the post, expressing her gratitude with two red heart emojis and sharing Czinano's story on her own.

Gabbie Marshall, who played with the Fever star for four seasons in Iowa, also reposted the photo and wrote: "proud of you," with a white heart emoji on her Instagram story. Clark re-shared Marshall's post as well to share her appreciation.

Clark joined the WNBA with Indiana Fever this summer, while Marshall went undrafted and announced her retirement from basketball shortly after. She's now pursuing a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at UNC, Chaphill.


Caitlin Clark reacts to Gabbie Marshall attending the Bengals' NFL game

Gabbie Marshall, a Cincinnati, Ohio, returned to her hometown earlier this month to watch the Cincinnati Bengals face the Baltimore Ravens at Paycor Stadium.

Marshall, who was named the 'Ruler of the Jungle,' for the matchup, posted a TikTok vlog showing everything from arriving at the stadium to leading the 'Who Dey?' chant with the fans ahead of the game.

"Such a cool experience at the Bengals game today," Marshall captioned her post.

Her ex-Husky teammates Caitlin Clark and Jada Gyamfi reacted to the video.

"Inspired. Wow," Clark commented.
"Did yall hear he say best friend & I wasn’t in the video??? Ohhh ok," Gyamfi wrote.

Caitlin Clark, a Kansas City Chiefs fan, re-shared a picture of Marshall tailgating outside the stadium, that the Bengals had posted.

"Spirit animal, @gabbie.marshall, Go Chiefs," Clark captioned her Instagram story.
"WHO DEY!!!!!" Marshall responded by chanting back at her.

Caitlin Clark mentioned during her appearance on 'ManningCast' last year that she has been a Kansas fan since she was a child.
