IN PICS: LSU’s Last-Tear Poa “keeps it cute” in all-black co-ord set
As Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers near the beginning of the season, Last-Tear Poa ensures to bring the heat. In one of her latest Instagram posts, Poa showcased her all-black two-piece attire while enjoying a sunset.
She posted a series of photos, followed by a selfie video showcasing her unique attire, a mini barrel bag in her hands, and lucite heels. Captioning the post, she wrote:
"Whatever you do keep it cute"
Last-Tear Poa averaged 4.9 points, 3.0 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals last season for the LSU Tigers while making 42.1% of her shots.
However, she averaged nearly 20 minutes of action per game and started only 10 games while attempting 3.0 shots each game. Her best outing of the season was against the Auburn Tigers, where she posted 14 points and two steals while shooting 100.0% from the floor in 24 minutes.
Poa is primarily known for her defensive tenacity, which she uses to energize the entire roster off the bench. This year, alongside Flau’jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow, and others, the Melbourne native will also be handed a bigger role and inclusion in LSU’s run.
The senior transferred to the Baton Rouge program in 2022 from Northwest Florida State College and has been part of the women’s roster since then. Over the last two years, she has garnered a massive fan following, making her one of the fan favorites.
Last-Tear Poa's status for the LSU Tigers remains unknown
When the LSU Tigers gave the first look of their 2024-25 unit against Xavier at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Last-Tear Poa was nowhere to be seen. Usually, even when not playing, players are seen with the squad and dressed up in team colors.
Nevertheless, Poa was absent from the bench and the warmups as well. Speaking after the exhibition game on Oct. 24, Kim Mulkey said:
"She is taking care of business off the floor".
On being enquired more about Poa's absence, Mulkey added:
"I've told you all I'm going to tell you".
With that, no signs are hinting at Poa’s health. She was sweating it out with the team nearly a month ago when the program opened its preseason practices. She is also officially listed on the women’s basketball roster page on LSU’s website. So far, she has only missed one game in the two years with LSU.
