IN PICS: Miami’s Hanna and Haley Cavinder spread holiday season vibes as they show their early Christmas decorations

Christmas is over a month away, but Hanna and Haley Cavinder have already begun holiday preparations. The Miami guards shared a photo of their living room on their shared Instagram account story on Friday.

In the corner of their living room, beside the TV, a small Christmas tree was decorated with white lights and ornaments in the same color.

The Cavinder twins are in Miami for their final college season. After three years at Fresno State,

Hanna and Haley Cavinder moved to Miami for the 2022-23 season. They led the Hurricanes on their historic run to the first Elite Eight appearance. The twins hung their shoes up after this, but Haley Cavinder was the first to make a return.

“I missed it,” Cavinder said (For The Win). “I think that’s inevitable to always miss your sport when you walk away from it. But having the what-if – like, what if I took my fifth year?
"I need to take my fifth year to know that I did it. I just missed it a ton. I’m such a competitive person, so just being able to have that feeling again is something I’m looking forward to.”

Although she entered the transfer portal and chose TCU first in November 2023, Haley Cavinder switched teams in April when her twin sister Hanna Cavinder also announced her return.

“It comes down to do I want to play with my twin sister for my last season or go our different chapters and I just don’t think I could live with myself if I didn’t go back and play with her,” she said (via The Miami Herald).

On Monday, Hanna and Haley Cavinder led the Miami Hurricanes to a 78-53 win over the Stetson Hatters. Haley finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Hanna added nine points and a team-high five assists.

“I’m just really proud of this group,” coach Tricia Cullop said post-game. “It’s a joy to coach them, and I’m excited to see where we are going, because I think we did some good things today but the ceiling for this team is really high, and I can’t wait to keep helping them reach their potential.”

With the previous Elite Eight appearance, the Cavinder twins have similar expectations for this season as well. Miami next hosts Jacksonville on Monday.
